A LEONARD COHEN TRIBUTE
LEONARD COHEN’S music has been in my life for fifty-five years since I first heard HEY THAT’S NO WAY TO SAY GOODBYE. I had no experience of a long-term relationship then, but the song painted a tender picture of what it might be like to experience love and loss. My novel DHARMA SUTRA has many tributes to Leonard. His words helped me through the dark times of my life, telling me that life was full of beauty and giving me the promise of “many satisfying one-night stands.” I spent most of my career as a comic book storyteller, today I’m relying on the eloquence of my words alone, rather than using a pencil to express my creativity. Although I'm describing DHARMA SUTRA as MAGIC REALISM, it contains a lot of truth and every character is real, albeit the villain is a fusion of two nasty people I regret meeting. Names have been changed and the timeline juggled slightly but the interaction, fun and love is real. I am doing this for my own satisfaction alone and as a tribute to those who have believed in me as a person, rather than a comic book creator.
You can buy a Kindle version of Dharma Sutra in India or ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, by downloading the KINDLE APP suitable for Mac and PC and ordering your books through it.
